Pregnancy tiredness tips to help
We are now coming into the summer months
and I know how tiring that can be when you are pregnant.
So here are a few tips to get you through.
1. Drink 8 glasses
of water.
2. Take your prenatal vitamins.
3. Apply your anti-stretch mark cream.
4. Get at least 15 minutes of fresh
air.
5. Meditate/relax for at least 15
minutes.
6. Exercise or do a brisk walk for
20 minutes (if your doctor has given you the OK to
exercise/walk).
7. Do 10 minutes of stretching (if
your doctor has given you the OK).
8. Eat at least 5 different fresh
vegetables.
9. Eat at least 2 different fruits.
10. Spend 15 minutes thinking positively
about yourself, your body and your baby (even talk
to baby!).
Everyone talks about the "PREGNANCY GLOW"
- do you feel like YOUR skin is glowing today?
If you answered "Yes" - way to go! If not,
you're not alone. Pregnancy places MANY challenges on
the skin - dull, dry, flaky, oily, pimply, blotchy -
need I go on?
With all those extra hormones that the body produces
during pregnancy, it's no wonder that a lot of women
suffer through out-of-control skin changes. Fortunately,
there ARE things that you CAN do to help.
The Spa Intensive Care purifying Mud Mask
This mask is gentle, moisturizing mask deep cleansing
and skin softening mud mask.
Something I had a big problem with my first pregnancy
was the Pregnancy Mask - brown patches and dry skin
If you're having the same problem, you MUST wear sunscreen
all the time. I liked to use a daily moisturizer with
at least an SPF 15, and with broad-spectrum protection
that works against both UVA and UVB rays.
Remember, you don't have to sit outside to fall prey
to sun spots, even the most incidental exposure (such
as through your car window!) can cause the mask. So
protect yourself all the time.
Although my pregnancy mask cleared up after my pregnancy,
I do still notice some spots when my face gets tanned.
So, all the more reason to prevent the mask in the first
place - wear your sunscreen! Visit us online today www.the-skinfactory.com
The Pain of Pregnancy Acne
This is a tough one because you need something stronger
but most masks cannot be used when pregnant. However
Edom's Mud mask is ideal for this.
This Facial Black mud mask is enriched with minerals
from the Dead Sea. Contains natural minerals Deep Cleanses.
For oily or acne skin leave on for 10-15 mins. Apply
twice a week
I get so many desperate emails from women who are dealing
with pregnancy acne - it's not fun!
If acne is your challenge, exfoliate your skin with
natural products a couple of times a week . Also, drink
TONS of water to flush the toxins out of your body and
DO NOT pick or touch your pimples.
A great tip I learned from my makeup artist friend
is to use a tiny dab of toothpaste to reduce the inflammation
of a blemish.
Too MUCH Glow?
If shiny/oily skin is your problem, use a water-based
cream (daily) to equalize your skin, exfoliate twice
a week, and drink lots of water with lemon first thing
in the am(of course, a healthy diet is also important!).
Also, do NOT use any astringents or alcohol products
to take away the shine - they will ONLY dry your skin
out, causing your oil glands to work harder and produce
more oil.
Just like you follow a regular workout routine (right?!),
you also need to follow a regular skin care routine.
Dealing with problem skin during pregnancy is frustrating,
but you WILL notice the difference a little care can
make!
